EMERGENCY MINI KITS
Kit # 1&2
These kits are in my personal truck. Why? Because my truck is used when I go mountain biking, we go camping, boating, motocross riding, snowmobiling, shooting etc.
Below is what is inside of the kits. But self-explanatory in my opinion. These cover everything we may encounter in the activities listed above. I have used multiple things out of this kit and replaced them with the same or better products. For example, Extra Strength fabric band aids, sutures and old ear bud chords for tying something off as this was a need I did not previously have a solution for until I found these in my center console. But now they are in the kit. Yes we have had to stitch someone up on a ride since we were still 5 miles out and a hospital visit was necessary.
Kit #3
Not your typical first aid kit right. Unless you are a mountain biker and need to have a source of glucose for longer rides and or low blood sugar events on the trial. I also carry a Juice box as well since that can absorb into the system faster if needed. Another piece of this kit is carried by my riding partner. A Glucagon injection kit. In case things get really desperate for me. You may be asking why it is not in my kit / pack. Because if that is needed there is no way I would be able to administer the injection. So again, these can and should be adjusted to your specific needs based on heath conditions and activities they would be used for. This trail mix rotates often since I use this as a snack on the trail for longer rides to keep glucose levels in the proper range for the performance I need.
Kit #4
This is actually in my work truck. We all have them. They are store bought, minor but useful for work related incidents. Simple and effective.
Kit #5
Again, back to your specific needs. I have these in all my vehicles since I am a Diabetic. Small bag of hard candy. Quick, easy, made of dextrose which is the most concentrated form of sugar / glucose to intake. These are Runts, Bottle Caps are another favorite. The powder gets messy from those though. Things to consider.
Kit #6
Not a kit per say but effective when necessary. This is mounted on the outside of my work truck for quick easy access to anyone in need basically.
Kit #7
The wife’s home-made kit in the glove box. Small discrete but loaded with stuff!
Kit #7
What is it made of? Snack size zip lock bags glued to the cover. Pretty simple. The stuff them accordingly for whatever you think you may need.
