HOME SAFETY:

• Do you have a fire escape plan?
• Have you walked through it recently?
• Do you have a neighborhood meeting place outside your home?
• Have you checked your fire alarms and carbon-monoxide detectors recently?
• Do you have a fire extinguisher? Where is it? Do you know how to use it?

• Situational awareness is key. 
• Do you know who is around you as you walk to your car? 
• Can you hear what is happening as you walk around? One earbud versus two?
• Do you know your neighbors?
• Do overgrown bushes provide hiding places for unwanted individuals?
• Are entryways well lit?
• Does your home appear occupied when you are away? Have you considered using timers for certain lights?
• Are firearms part of your security plan?> Are you properly trained? Are they secured?
